The Action Centre
Individuals and Communities in Partnership
The Action Centre is focused on providing community services for those in need.

The Action Centre is a non-profit organization, established 1997 to provide access to community services for the Eganville and surrounding, rural area citizens that may not otherwise have the ability to obtain the services provided here.  

The Action Centre is located in the former Grey Sisters' Convent at 68 Queen Street in Eganville, Ontario, a small community 150 km. west of Ottawa.

In our gracious stone building can be found several community projects.

  • Community Earth Works

  • Community gardens

  • Coordinated The Break Away Theater Company 
    (Eganville)

  • Healthful cooking classes

  • Tai Chi

  • Meditation Classes

We also provide space for many agencies which are offering essential support services.

  • Therapeutic Touch

  • Dr. Doran/Chiropractor

  • Certified Athletic Therapist

  • Food Bank

  • Massage Therapist

  • Reiki and  Relaxation

  • Renfrew Victoria Drug, Alcohol and Gambling Addiction Services

  • Ministry of Correctional Services (Adult Probation and Parole)

  • Renfrew Country Integration Services 

  • Family & Children’s Resource

  • Various Workshops and self-improvement seminars

  • The Bonnechere Manor Adult Day Program

  • Indigenous Cooperative on the Environment (ICE) 

The Action Centre is a proud sponsor of the Bonnechere Valley Youth Centre.

The Action Centre is a member of the Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition and the Recycling Council of Ontario.
